Now the fuss has died down about James Cameron's Avatar, please post what you thought about it, particularly if you didn't follow all the lemmings and think it was not very good.
I thought it was very derivative of other genre works, both literary and on-screen. The 3D was just a gimmick and didn't add much to it. The musical score by James Horner was not as amazing as we'd been led to believe.
Overall, it was one of the most hyperboled films ever and did not deserve such big box office. But remember that ticket prices were higher than ever because of the 3D glasses. Overall though, the highest grossing film of all time, adjusted for inflation, is still Gone With The Wind!
I think Gone With The Wind will be remembered long after Avatar has been forgotten...
